Guadalupe, 36, lives with her partner and their two daughters: Juana, 11 and Yasmin, 5. Their house is small and made of straw matting. For many years now she has worked as a housekeeper, for which she gets a monthly salary. At the same time, though, in the afternoons, she sells anticuchos (various grilled meats on skewers) in a stand that she sets up 3 blocks from home. Sometimes, she had some anticuchos left over, which meant a loss for her, because she did not have a refrigerator and the meat would spoil. However, she persevered, increased her sales and stableized her business. Today, her greatest demand is on weekends and this is when her earnings are highest. She is very happy with her work so she puts her best effort every night into preparing the seasoning for the meat so that it will be delicious and she won't have any left over at the end of the day. Guadalupe isn't affected by the cold of night; her only goal in sight is to build her house with more substantial materials. In order to do so, she knows that she must work very hard and she assures us that she will see her dreams come true. This is her third loan with MFP and she pledges to repay in a timely fashion. Aslo, she is satisfied with the work her group is doing because all the members are her neighbors and all are very responsible. The funds requested will be used to refurbish her grill so that she can cook more of the items she sells.

Paralelamente, por las tardes vende anticuchos (brochetas) en un puesto que acondiciona a 3 cuadras de su casa. A inicios se quedaban con algunos anticuchos, lo cual significaba pérdida para ella, pues no tenía refrigeradora y la carne se malograba. Pero su perseverancia, la llevó a incrementar sus ventas y estabilizar su negocio, hoy los días de mayor demanda son lo fines de semana, cuando reúne mayor cantidad de dinero. Ella está muy contenta con lo que hace, por eso todas las noches se esmera en preparar el aderezo de los anticuchos, para que estén sabrosos y no se quede con ninguno. A Guadalupe no le importa pasar el frío de la noche, solo tiene como meta construir su casa de material noble, para ello sabe que tiene que trabajar arduamente, y asegura que hará realidad sus sueños. Este es su tercer crédito que tiene con MFP y está comprometida a pagar puntualmente, como en sus anteriores créditos. Asimismo, está conforme con el trabajo de su grupo, puesto que todas son sus vecinas, y son muy responsables. El dinero que ahora solicita lo invertirá en la renovación de su parrilla para poder cocinar más porciones del platillo que vende.
